The winners of the first All-Ukrainian tournament on classic legal debate on civil and land law were decided. The International Legal Center \u00abEUCON\u00bb was a partner of this event.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On March 28-29, 2014 there was the knockout round of the I All-Ukrainian tournament on classic legal debate on civil and land law within the Principal (” Red “) Building of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv . It was attended by teams of semi-finalists won in the regional round of tournament, which was held last year in Kyiv, Lviv, Simferopol and Kharkiv. Teams of semifinalists were from five universities in Ukraine: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, National University “Odessa Law Academy”, National University \u201cYaroslav the Wise Law Academy\u201d and Ternopil National Economic University.<\/p>\n

Debate Club together with the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was an organizer of the knockout round of the tournament. Participants of the event were provided with handouts, accommodation, meals due to the support and financial assistance of the International Legal Center EUCON, one of the partners of the tournament.<\/p>\n

Judges of the knockout round of the tournament were lecturers of the department of land and agicultural law and department of civil law, namely Anatoliy Miroshnychenko (Chief Justice), Vladislav Kononov, Roman Marusenko, Tamara Sarkisova, Diana Starostenko, Taras Tretiak, Bogdan Voevodin and Roman Sabodash, judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Nikolai Gusak, the judge of Kyiv district Administrative Court Andriy Volkov as well as practicing lawyers Eugene Petrenko, Vladyslav Zhabsky, Alexander Bevz, Vladyslav Vlasyuk, Sergiy Petukhov, Mykhailo Bannov, Eugene Pronin and Anton Kuts.<\/p>\n

Natalia Kuzmenko (lead manager) and Vitaliy Danylchenko were actively involved in organizing and carrying out the knockout round of the tournament.<\/p>\n

In order to decide more objectively the strongest teams the knockout round was held for another fable which was the special aspect of the tournament. After a very interesting round the winner of the first All-Ukrainian tournament on classic legal debate was the team of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv No. 8 which consist of Maksym Balatsenko and Ivan Demtsiu.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, it was unanimously resolved by the judges of a tournament to give the title of the best speaker of the tournament to Mariya Nakonechna from the team No. 3 of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.<\/p>\n
