On May 25 Grain Storage Forum ELEVATOR 2021 <\/strong>took place. It is one of the largest agricultural forums in Ukraine that for the third time brings together about 100 speakers and 1,000 participants to discuss current issues and opportunities for sustainable development of the storage and processing of crop products.<\/p>\n

As far as among the Forum participants there were public officers, businessmen and scientists the Forum shall surely facilitate implementing of contemporary innovations in the branch.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The organizers of the event were ProAgro Group of Companies<\/strong> and the Ukrainian Grain Association (UZA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year EUCON Legal Group<\/strong> has become a legal partner of the Forum and during the event literally any participant could get free legal advice from EUCON experts in a special corner of the company.<\/p>\n

Yaroslav Romanchuk, <\/em><\/strong>Attorney-at-Law, EUCON Managing Partner being a speaker of the panel “Current state and main issues of sustainable development of the elevator industry” shared the experience of attracting cheap and long-term EU financial resources on the example of Poland.<\/p>\n

Within the forum the EUCON experts spoke at the Conference<\/strong> “Taxes, accounting, the rights of enterprises involved in grain storage and processing”<\/strong> and session devoted to protecting business from raiding and intervention of third parties on the assets of investors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Larysa Vrublevska,<\/em><\/strong> auditor, partner told about the latest developments in the field of Transfer Pricing, in particular on the reclassification of exchange goods in raw materials, focusing on the nuances that must be taken into account by taxpayers when preparing reports on Transfer Pricing.<\/p>\n

Zhanna Biloblovska, <\/em><\/strong>auditor, advisor explained the audience the peculiarities of the application of the reduced tax rate of 14 per cent applied in tax reporting periods since March 1 this year.<\/p>\n

Volodymyr Bevza<\/em><\/strong>, Attorney-at-Law, EUCON Adviser told the participants about effective ways how to remove the company from the list of risky taxpayers “without trial”, how to unblock tax invoices, how not to let the tax authority to the audit, also he explained the tactics of appealing orders and auditing. At the end of his speech Volodymyr noted that since March 2020 all checks of budget VAT refunds are illegal.<\/p>\n

During the first discussion panel there took place the representatives of State Tax Service of Ukraine \u2013 Anton Chyzh, <\/em><\/strong>Director of the Risk Management Department and Mariana Kuts, <\/em><\/strong>Director of Methodology Department. Mr. Chyzh commented on blocking of VAT invoices and explained why the State Tax Service of Ukraine took this action and turned the spotlight on this process stressing that it is cancelation of the VAT invoices\u2019 validity rather than their blocking. Mariana Kuts shared her views on the draft law No. 5425 and commented on the standpoint of the supervisory authorities, moreover she made a forecast for the timing of the adoption of the law.<\/p>\n

The second part of the event was dedicated to business protection and land issues. Oleksiy Boniuk<\/em>, Head of the Office for the Protection of Investor\u2019s Rights within the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office shared the outcomes of the department work, told about the interaction with the regions, the priorities in protecting the legitimate interests of business entities.<\/p>\n

In his speech, Yevgen Petrenko<\/em>, attorney at law, drew the participants’ attention to the importance of securing their business and systematically approaching its defence not on the basis of what happened, but on anticipation. A thorough audit of actual business cases, identification of problem areas in the business model and the introduction of a full range of measures can give the greatest effectiveness and ensure optimal protection of agribusiness from raider attacks.<\/p>\n

Yaroslav Romanchuk<\/em><\/strong>, attorney at law and Managing Partner, spoke about the risks of corporate fraud, EU requirements, preventive methods and the world’s best antifraud practices.<\/p>\n

Lawyer Vitaliy Panchik<\/em><\/strong> shared his own experience and named possible risks when buying a land plot, emphasizing the need for a land legal audit before the purchase.<\/p>\n
