Strategic directions for domestic business development in the context of international economic cooperation were discussed at the Second International Business Forum, which took place on March 20, 2015 in Kharkiv. The Forum brought together over 200 representatives of business circles of Ukraine, Poland, the United States and other countries.
This is the second major business event in Ukraine, where Ukrainian and international experts gave competent analysis and further ways of cooperation between Ukrainian and European companies in the changed economic conditions were outlined.
One of the hottest and interesting conversation topics of the forum was the question of entry of domestic firms into international, in particularly into European markets. Yaroslav Romanchuk, managing partner of International Legal Center EUCON, Vice-President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce spoke within the framework of such session. Mr. Romanchuk highlighted the key issues considering the advantages of entry into the European Economic Area through Poland, as well as practical aspects of doing business in Poland. His speech has raised the huge interest among the business community. “The special conditions for investment, strategic location, qualified labor market, infrastructure and business environment development according to European standards allows Poland to compete successfully with other established European jurisdictions as the most promising country for investment and entering the Ukrainian business in the European market” – mentioned Yaroslav Romanchuk.
As a part of his speech the practical aspects that need to be considered when starting a business in Poland were discussed, namely registration or acquisition, accounting and tax accounting, activity in the special economic zones, etc. Furthermore he informed on the support given to the EU market-oriented companies by Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and International Legal Center EUCON.
