The closing speech of the Event-week was made by Yaroslav Romanchuk, President of Ukrainian Business Association in Poland, Managing Partner of EUCON Legal Group within the “Ukrainian-Polish Business Support Forum” organized by Zhytomyr Regional Development Agency. The purpose of the event was to discuss current issues of business development at the present stage and the development of Industrial Parks, business support during the quarantine and the prospects of start-ups, as well as to exchange experiences with Polish partners in this field.
In the second panel “Business Support – the state of affairs in quarantine” Yaroslav Romanchuk noted the relative stability and even development of Ukrainian-Polish economic relations, in particular, the expert noted that according to statistics for 2019, trade in goods and services between Ukraine and Poland increased by 6.7 per cent. Thus, the Polish market became the 2nd largest market for Ukrainian exports in the world, while Poland became the 4th largest trading partner in the world for Ukraine. Mr. Romanchuk praised the prospects for the development of economic ties between the two countries.
Yaroslav Romanchuk described the mission, avenues of activity and projects of the Association of Ukrainian Business in Poland. And furthermore, he noted that he sees a future in the creation of universal service centres for entrepreneurs. For example, in 2019 in Warsaw there was established the Ukrainian Business Hub. The purpose of the Hub is to provide Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Poland with legal, accounting, secretarial, subscriber and other services in one place, thus optimizing the provision of services and opening new opportunities for assistance and support to compatriots, promoting the development of their business, which is the main goal of AUBP.
