The Second Foreign Investment Congress will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine, on 15-16 May 2025.
The Congress is a new, ongoing communication platform for local communities, foreign investors, international financial institutions, private funds, regional businesses, representatives of diplomatic missions in Ukraine, and government officials.
The goal of the Congress is to bring together all stakeholders interested in creating equal conditions and transparent rules for attracting international capital, mobilising the private sector in the process of rebuilding Ukraine’s sustainable economic potential, preserving human capital, and supporting the reintegration of military personnel returning from the front lines.
The event aims to strengthen the economic partnership between Ukrainian communities and international investors and financial institutions, promote investment attraction, implement effective financial instruments, showcase investment opportunities in regional areas, enhance the resilience and capacity of communities, and improve the competitiveness of regional businesses.
International businesses, foreign investors, and financial institutions are key participants in the Congress, as their involvement opens up opportunities for communities to find partners, attract investment, and secure financing for the implementation of development, modernisation, and renovation projects. This will contribute to creating modern infrastructure and a contemporary eco-system.
During the event participants will discuss the role and functions of diplomatic missions, financial and other international organisations in Ukraine’s recovery, resource mobilisation, and investment opportunities in sectors such as energy, agriculture, transport and logistics infrastructure. The potential for public-private partnerships to develop the social infrastructure of local communities will also be explored.
Special attention will be given to the challenges of ensuring information resilience, combating disinformation, investing in human capital and knowledge development, supporting veteran businesses, implementing digital solutions and innovative financial instruments that will help accelerate the country’s economic transformation.
As part of the Congress, there will also be presentations of investment projects from 26 regional communities of Ukraine aimed at attracting international resources and investment to implement key initiatives for the recovery and sustainable development of the regions.
