Together to victory: Yaroslav Romanchuk became the speaker of the large-scale World for Ukraine (W4UA) summit in Rzeszów

Attorney and managing partner of EUCON Yaroslav Romanchuk became the speaker of the large-scale World for Ukraine (W4UA) summit, which took place on December 7-9 in Rzeszów. The event was held to strengthen the provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, improve cooperation between non-governmental organizations, businesses, and state institutions, as well as creating a space for discussing urgent needs in the areas of food security, use of energy resources, forms of international business cooperation, support for startups in Ukraine and plans reconstruction of destroyed urban spaces. The participants of the summit were representatives of authorities, international and national non-governmental organizations, as well as business representatives from Ukraine, Poland, and other countries of the world.

The organizer of the W4UA summit is the “World For Ukraine” foundation, which deals with issues of integration and support of the activities of non-governmental organizations, local self-government bodies, entrepreneurs, and individuals, as well as the protection of human rights for the development of initiatives, movements and civil society based on the values and standards of countries of the European Union.

Yaroslav Romanchuk spoke at the high-level panel “Destruction of Ukraine’s agricultural sector and grain transportation” and the panel “Corporate social responsibility in a real crisis”.

During the high-level panel, the speakers focused on the pressing issues of the global food crisis and the threat to food security in the world, changes in the supply chains of agricultural products, logistical problems, rising food prices, reduction of acreage due to armed attacks, reduction in yield, reduction in grain production, etc. .d. Experts voiced perspectives and methods of preserving supply chains, functioning of transport corridors, as well as preserving Ukraine’s status as the “breadbasket of the world.” In particular, Yaroslav Romanchuk emphasized alternative ways of supplying products, the importance of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in the agricultural sector, and the work of functioning transport corridors.

The panel also spoke: Oleksandr Hryban – Deputy Minister of the Economy of Ukraine; Roman Neiter – expert of the Center for Food and Land Use Research of the Kyiv School of Economics; Damian Sobol – coordinator of operational support of World Central Kitchen; Andriy Suslenko – “COGNICOO” Agency (moderator).

The panel “Corporate social responsibility in a real crisis” was distinguished by the discussion of passing an exam by companies regarding the real functioning of CSR policy in war conditions, the scope of aid provided, practical cases of implementing pro-bono programs, methods of CSR implementation, the impact of such activities on the company, adaptation to external conditions and balancing on the border of the company’s interests and the need to be involved in social projects. Yaroslav Romanchuk, for his part, shared his experience of CSR policy implementation, his vision of integration, and the role of business in social processes.

Within the panel, the following also spoke: Bohdan Kuharskyi – head of Country Poland BP EUROPA SE; Yevgenia Bodnia – representative of the Office for Reforms under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; Oleksandra Robashkevych – Head of Lidl’s Corporate Communications and CSR Department (Poland); Olga Nasonova – CEO of the Analytical Center “Restaurants of Ukraine”; Lukash Lasek – brand manager of ROHLIG SUUS Logistics; Jan Linke – President of the Board of Kancelaria Radców Prawnych Linke Kulicki Sp.p. (moderator).
