Order of St. Panteleimon: Warsaw Honors Those Supporting Ukraine

On November 27, 2025, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland hosted a solemn ceremony to award Ukraine’s highest national professional award – the Order of St. Panteleimon – for professionalism and mercy.

This year, Andrii Romanchuk, Senior Partner at EUCONLAW Group and member of the Foreign Council of the Order of St. Panteleimon in Poland, nominated Fundacja Rozwoju Regionów for the award, which was recognised for its significant contribution to humanitarian aid, medical support and rehabilitation of war victims.

In particular, the Foundation established one of the largest international humanitarian hubs in Poland, through which over 10,000 pallets of aid were delivered. It also provided support to more than 140 cities in Ukraine and over 90,000 Ukrainian citizens in Poland. Additionally, the organization supplied equipment to over 200 Ukrainian hospitals and facilitated the delivery of more than 250 ambulances and specialized medical equipment.

During the ceremony, Andrii Romanchuk introduced the laureate and presented the award, highlighting their vital role in supporting Ukraine during the war.

The social initiative “Order of St. Panteleimon” was founded in 2009. It aims to recognise outstanding achievements in healthcare, charity and humanitarian activities. The Order’s patron is Saint Panteleimon, protector of the sick, healer, and patron of doctors.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Order has expanded its activities beyond Ukraine, establishing foreign councils in over ten countries worldwide. These councils honor foreign citizens, organizations, and companies that provide substantial support to Ukrainian medical institutions, save lives, and assist Ukraine in its fight for freedom and independence.

Poland was among the first countries to open its borders on the first day of the full-scale war, welcomed Ukrainian families, and continues to support Ukraine. For this reason, the Order of St. Panteleimon is awarding its International Award in Poland for the second consecutive year – recognizing citizens and institutions that unite others around support for Ukrainian healthcare and humanitarian aid.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Honorary Council of the Order, headed by Vasyl Knyazevych, member of the Honorary Council Filia Zhebrovska, as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Bodnar, Ambassador of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Piotr Kandiba, members of the Foreign Council Pavlo Savenko and Andrii Romanchuk, representatives of the clergy, medical community, diplomatic corps, and humanitarian institutions.
