On September 25, 2025, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (UCCJ) and the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation held a conference in Tokyo entitled “Investment in Ukraine: Opportunities for Japanese and EU Businesses.”
The event brought together representatives of Japanese and European companies interested in cooperation with Ukraine. Participants learned about new investment rules, business incentives, industrial park opportunities, and prospects in key sectors, including digital technologies and dual-use technologies.
Yaroslav Romanchuk, attorney, managing partner of EUCONLAW Group, spoke at the conference with a presentation titled “Doing Business in Ukraine: Business Support and Development Tools.” He outlined Ukraine’s priorities, from Euro-Atlantic integration to attracting investment for economic recovery and transformation.
The speaker presented in detail the instruments of state support for business, including Prozorro, UkraineInvest, industrial parks, Diia.City, public-private partnership mechanisms, and the Export-Credit Agency. He also discussed the practical aspects of company registration, Ukraine’s tax system, the advantages of the Diia.City special regime for the IT sector, and the simplified taxation system for small and medium-sized businesses.
The event served as an important platform for establishing business contacts and demonstrating Ukraine’s investment potential to the international business community.
