Yaroslav Romanchuk became a speaker at the open meeting “Financial Horizons: Lending in Poland for Ukrainians” in Warsaw

On July 28, an open meeting “Financial Horizons: Lending in Poland for Ukrainians” was held in Warsaw, during which the lawyer, managing partner of EUCON Yaroslav Romanchuk spoke about the potential and scale of financial opportunities for lending in Poland.

The organizer was the Diia.Business Warsaw Centre, which implemented the event within the Digital Data Corridor (DDC) project, which is implemented with the support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in partnership with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). by the Great Britain Good Governance Foundation (GGF).

Yaroslav Romanchuk began his speech by analyzing the types of financing, in particular, such as own funds, bank, investment and subsidy, noting that most Ukrainian entrepreneurs tend to use their funds, which are not an effective resource, but the range of real opportunities in using other tools is much wider.

The speaker also detailed the methods of financing, the main requirements of banking institutions and the list of necessary documentation, because before applying for credit, the borrower must carefully prepare and do his “homework” to diversify all risks and go through the process successfully.

It is also extremely important to consider the criteria for evaluating the borrower based on the model of comprehensive analysis, the requirement of the bank or creditor to the borrower, so that the company prudently performs actions that will help to form compliance with each of the numerous criteria.

Of course, a separate emphasis was needed on the issue of business reputation, because this aspect is often vulnerable in the matter of lending.

At the end of the speech, Yaroslav Romanchuk revealed to the participants the specifics of the consequences for business from the implementation of the BEPS plan, which put an end to the era of offshore banking, banking secrecy, and contributed to the disclosure of ultimate beneficiaries and transparency of reporting. In addition, the expert noted the prospects for the start of the MLI agreement and the system of international exchange of tax information CRS between Poland and Ukraine.

During the meeting, representatives of the IFC (National Bank of Ukraine), Polish Investment&Trade Agency (PFR Group), BIK, Bank Santander and Bank PKO Bank Polski also spoke.
